“Neal Parent’s workshops — on board ship, in the south of France, or taken privately — are absolutely wonderful. His quick wit combined with his patience and teaching skills are truly extraordinary. Anyone, at any skill level, who participates in one of his workshops is certain to come out a better photographer with memories to share.” – Amy Isaacs

Newfoundland – St Johns and the Avalon Peninsula
August 8-13, 2018
Newfoundland’s oldest (and farthest east) city, St Johns, sits on the slopes of a snug and sheltered harbor. You’ll be charmed by the brightly colored row houses known locally as Jelly Bean Row, perched on the hills overlooking the harbor, as well as the the narrow, winding streets and laneways of one of the oldest mercantile districts in North America.
The Avalon peninsula is full of stunning scenery, natural wonders, wildlife and charming villages. It was the first region of the province to be settled, so it is full of the legends and history of the first early adventurers to come to the new world. We will visit the lighthouse at Cape Spear National Historic site, the most easterly point in North America, follow the Irish Loop and the Baccilieu trails, and discover charming villages, breathtaking coasts and amazing wildlife.
“I would recommend Neal’s workshops to anyone. Bring only your love of photography; Neal provides the rest. ” – Marian Siljeholm, Workshop Participant
